Latvian Biochemical society (LaBS) joins biochemistry-related researchers from all Latvia. LaBS was established on
1958. It joined the FEBS on 1991 and IUBMB on 2018. Currently LaBS is located in Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Center, the leading scientific institution in biochemistry and molecular biology related fields in Latvia.
Our mission
The mission of the Latvian Biochemical Society (LaBS)
is to unite researchers from Latvia, performing their scientific investigations
within biochemistry and related fields. Main activities of LaBS are aimed to
promote fundamental studies, to facilitate applications of the research results
and to contribute to the professional growth of young scientists. LaBS organizes various scientific and educatioanal events,
including yearly scientific conference, which starting from 2018 is being held together with Lithuanian and Estonian colleagues.
